In the final hours of Pride 2025, I’m sending love and light to you all and hope you’ve been treating yourself to things that make you feel good.

I spent most of June in a writing hole when I wasn’t working the day job, but did have an opportunity to attend Pride LitCon in Richmond, Virginia, on June 14 with 50 LGBTQ+ authors. It was such a wholesome, uplifting event that I can’t praise enough from the organizers to the attendees to my fellow authors. I didn’t get a pic of myself at my table (because I’m a dork), but I had a wonderful time vibing with readers and authors and was thrilled to hear there are plans to host another con in 2026.

Pride LitCon will likely be my only book signing event this year because I’m putting resources toward producing audiobooks and translations instead, so I’m doubly grateful I was able to attend.

If you’re interested in keeping tabs on the 2026 con, you can sign up for the newsletter at https://pridelitcon.com/.

And if you came out to the ACCA Shriner Center to say ‘hey’, thank you so much!

K. Evan Coles is a mother and tech pirate by day and a writer by night. She is a dreamer who, with a little hard work and a lot of good coffee, coaxes words out of her head and onto paper. K. lives in the northeast United States, where she complains bitterly about the winters, but truly loves the region and its diverse, tenacious and deceptively compassionate people. You’ll usually find K. nerding out over books, movies and television with friends and family. She’s especially proud to be raising her son as part of a new generation of unabashed geeks. K.’s books explore LGBTQ+ romance in contemporary settings.
